Ram Charan Teja biography


Ram Charan (born on 27 March 1985) is an Indian film actor from Telugu Cinema and an accomplished equestrian. Born to Telugu actor Chiranjeevi, he made his debut as lead actor with the film Chirutha in 2007.
He currently serves on the board of directors of MAA TV.[2] He is the brand ambassador for Tata DoCoMo for Andhra region. He owns a Polo Team 'Ram Charan Hyderabad Polo Riding Club (RC HPRC)'.

Personal life


Charan got married to Upasana Kamineni, the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and chief editor of B Positive magazine. The engagement took place in Hyderabad on 1 December, 2011. Upasana is the granddaughter of Prathap C. Reddy, the Managing Director of the Apollo Hospitals. Subsequently, Ram Charan Teja married Upasana Kamineni on June 14, 2012 at the Temple Tress farm House. Studied in Lawrence school.

Career


In 2007, Charan made his film debut as the leading man in the film Chirutha, which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. His performance in the film earned him a Filmfare Best South Debutant Award and Nandi Special Jury Award. His second film Magadheera, directed by S. S. Rajamouli went on to become a blockbuster. The film received six Filmfare Awards including the award for Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and Nandi Special Jury Award for Charan. After the success of Magadheera, Charan starred in Bommarillu Bhaskar's Orange. Though the movie failed at the box-office, his performance and musical score by Harris Jayaraj were applauded. His latest film Rachcha took a grand opening. His movies such as Magadheera and Rachcha has been dubbed in Tamil as Maaveeran and Ragalai respectively and got good response from Tamil Nadu audience.
As of now, Charan is working on three movies, Naayak directed by V.V. Vinayak and Yevadu directed by Vamsi Paidipally. He is set to make his Bollywood debut through Zanjeer, a remake of the film of same name starring Amitabh Bachchan.
